Small business influencer platforms, 2026

Best influencer marketing platforms for small business, sorted by what you can spend.

Most platform lists are written for brands with a team and an annual contract. This one starts from the budget: what is free, what is worth paying for under $300 a month, and how far $1,000 goes on each.

In short

The best influencer marketing platform for a small business is usually a free one to start. Instagram's creator marketplace and Shopify Collabs cost nothing to use, and Collabstr lets you hire creators with no subscription for a 10% fee. Pay for software only past about ten creators a month, when Heepsy ($69) or Modash ($199) start to earn their keep.

The mistake small brands make is paying for a database before they know what a good creator looks like for their product. Book five creators the cheap way first. Once you know your price per post and which content style works, a subscription saves hours instead of just adding a bill. If you would rather buy finished videos than run creators at all, see what UGC is and what it costs.

How we judged

Budget first, features second.

Five checks, all from the point of view of a business spending under $2,000 a month on creators.

  • Cost before the first creatorSubscription, setup and any minimum term. A small budget should go to creators, not software.
  • Fee on every creator paymentA 15% fee on $1,000 of creator spend is $150 a month, more than some subscriptions. We show both.
  • Hours per creatorWho sends the messages, chases replies and handles payment. Small teams usually run out of hours before money.
  • Rights to run the content as adsUsage rights are often where the price doubles. Platforms that include them get credit.
  • ExitMonthly beats quarterly beats annual. Any auto-upgrade or 12-month minimum is flagged.
  • Where we sitWe make Remy. It is in the list and marked, ranked sixth, because for a business booking under ten creators a month the free routes are cheaper.

The pattern.

At $1,000 a month, anything with a subscription over $200 eats a fifth of the budget before a creator is paid. The free marketplaces cost you a percentage instead, and the databases cost you hours, because you still message, negotiate and pay everyone yourself. Our sourcing report puts that internal time at $150 to $600 a video once briefing and review are costed.

The eight

Each platform, with its catch.

What it is, who it suits, where it is strongest, where it falls short, and the published price.

01 · Free with a fee

Collabstr

Best for: a first campaign with real budgets and no contract

Collabstr is a marketplace where creators post their own packages and prices. You pick one, pay into escrow, and the money is released when the content arrives. For a small business that is the right amount of structure: no subscription, no contract, and protection if a creator never delivers.

Standout
The free plan covers search across 1.3M+ creators, direct hiring and escrow. You see each creator's price before you message anyone.
Honest limitation
Chatting before you order and posting a campaign for creators to apply both need Pro ($249/mo billed annually). The 10% fee applies to every hire on Free.
Pricing
Free plus 10% per hire. Pro $249/mo, Premium $333/mo with a 5% fee, both billed annually. pricing page, checked 24 Oct 2026.

Instagram creator marketplace

Best for: Instagram-first brands that are happy to do their own outreach

Meta's creator marketplace lives inside its business tools and lists Instagram creators who have opted in to brand deals. Since 2025 it supports plain keyword search, such as "gluten free desserts", filters across 20 verticals, and badges showing creators who have already run partnership ads, according to Meta's announcement as reported by Social Media Today.

Standout
Every creator listed has said yes to brand work, and you can see their partnership-ad history before you message them.
Honest limitation
Instagram only, opted-in creators only, and availability depends on your country and a verified business setup. Negotiation, contracts and payment are all yours. Meta publishes no fee for brands to use the marketplace, so your costs are what you pay creators and any partnership ad spend.

03 · Free on Shopify

Shopify Collabs

Best for: Shopify stores that want to pay creators commission on sales

Shopify Collabs is Shopify's own app for creator and affiliate programs. You build an application page, invite creators with gifts or personal offers, and give each one a link or code. Commissions are tracked and paid through your Shopify bill.

Standout
Free to install, and attribution comes straight from Shopify orders, so sales tracking is as accurate as your store data.
Honest limitation
It is built around commission. Creators who want a flat fee for a video will not be drawn in by a percentage, and there is no content production. Shopify stores only.
Pricing
Free to install; a 2.9% commission processing fee on automatic payments may apply. Shopify App Store listing, checked 24 Oct 2026.
04 · Under $100

Heepsy

Best for: building shortlists cheaply once the free tools run dry

Heepsy is a creator search tool covering 20M+ creators on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn. You search in plain language or with 30+ filters, open profiles, and email creators from inside the tool on paid plans. You can cancel at any time.

Standout
The cheapest paid search in this list, with a free plan of 500 results and 10 advanced profiles a month.
Honest limitation
The audience authenticity filter starts on Plus ($149/mo yearly). It finds and contacts creators; negotiating, paying and getting content are still on you.
Pricing
Free. Starter $69/mo yearly or $89 monthly. Plus $149 or $199. Advanced $229 or $299. pricing page, checked 24 Oct 2026.
05 · Under $100

JoinBrands

Best for: small brands that need a lot of cheap content, especially for TikTok Shop or Amazon

JoinBrands is a content marketplace with 4M+ creators and affiliates by its own count. You post a job, creators apply, and you buy UGC videos from $25 and images from $10, with unlimited usage rights on anything you purchase.

Standout
The lowest price floor here and rights included by default, which matters more than people think once you want to run the video as an ad.
Honest limitation
The 15% fee on the free plan is the highest in this list. Posting to the creator's own audience needs a paid plan. A low floor means more applicants to sort through.
Pricing
Free with 15% fee. Start-up $99/mo (12%), Pro $299/mo (10%), Max $499/mo (8%), with monthly credits back. pricing page, checked 24 Oct 2026.

Remy by QuickAds

Best for: owners with budget for creators but no hours to run them

Remy is QuickAds' influencer agent, AI assisted and human reviewed. You tell it the kind of creator you want; it searches Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, messages creators from your own account, agrees the rate under your cap and writes the brief. You pay one published price per booking with the creator fee inside it.

Standout
No subscription needed when you are buying videos, nothing added to creator pay, and the hours of outreach and follow-up handled. Creators reply in 1 to 2 days; delivery is 5 to 7 days from brief.
Honest limitation
Fixed prices cut both ways: if your creators would happily work for $150, Collabstr is cheaper. Instagram, YouTube and TikTok only, and a younger network (1,000+ creators sourced so far).
Pricing
UGC video $129 (you own the footage). Gold creator $299 (5K to 50K followers). Mega creator $699 (50K to 250K). Platform alone $299/mo; seven-day evaluation for $1. Full pricing.
07 · Under $300

Modash

Best for: a growing business with one person owning creator marketing

Modash indexes every public Instagram, TikTok and YouTube profile over 1,000 followers, 380M+ in all, and wraps a CRM, email inbox, content tracking and payments around it. It is Shopify-first and software only: Modash does not run campaigns and creators do not apply to you.

Standout
The whole market in one search, with content tracking that does not need creators to sign up. 14-day free trial with no card.
Honest limitation
At $199 a month billed yearly it is a commitment for a small budget, and the Essentials plan caps you at 300 opened profiles a month.
Pricing
Essentials $199/mo billed yearly ($2,388). Performance $499/mo billed yearly. pricing page, checked 24 Oct 2026.

GRIN

Best for: affiliate and gifting programs run by an AI agent, month to month

GRIN, long an enterprise platform, now publishes prices from $0 with no sales call. Its AI agent, Gia, finds creators in GRIN's opted-in network, drafts outreach and runs gifting and affiliate programs. Affiliate links, codes and sales tracking are on every plan with no take rate on commissions.

Standout
A free plan with an AI agent doing the legwork, and 30 days of the $200 Starter plan free.
Honest limitation
Every plan adds a management fee on top of each wallet deposit you make to pay creators: 20% on Free, falling to 5% on Scale. The fee is charged when you fund the wallet and is not refunded if you withdraw unspent money. Free also stops at 10 gifts in total.
Pricing
Free $0 plus 20%, Starter $200/mo plus 10%, Growth $500/mo plus 7%, Scale $1,500/mo plus 5% on wallet deposits. Enterprise is quoted. pricing page, checked 27 Oct 2026.

Good platforms, wrong stage.

Worth knowing about, not worth signing at a small-business budget.

Upfluence

A capable ecommerce suite with a 14M+ creator database, but pricing is quoted on a call and the minimum contract is 12 months, per its pricing page. Come back when creator marketing is a line in the annual plan.

Insense trial

Good marketplace, awkward entry for a small budget: the $650 trial month auto-upgrades to a quarterly plan unless you cancel 48 hours before it ends, and creator fees carry a 20% fee on top, per its pricing page.

Aspire

Demo-led, with no published platform price on aspire.io. Buyer data from Vendr reports a median of about $15,588 a year, which is a third-party figure, not Aspire's. Vendr.

Influencer agencies

Full service is real value, but monthly retainers commonly run $4,000 to $8,000 before creator fees. At a small-business budget, that is the whole budget.

How to choose

Pick by creators per month, not by feature list.

  1. Under five creators a month: Collabstr Free, plus Instagram's creator marketplace if you sell on Instagram. Do not buy software yet.
  2. On Shopify and happy to pay on results: add Shopify Collabs and give every creator a code.
  3. Need lots of videos to run as ads: JoinBrands for the lowest unit price, or Remy's $129 UGC tier if you want editing and full rights in one price. Check UGC rates first.
  4. Five to fifteen creators a month and someone with time: Heepsy Starter for search, then book direct.
  5. Fifteen or more, and it is somebody's job: Modash, or GRIN if affiliate is the core of the program.
  6. Budget but no hours: Remy, at a fixed price per booking with the outreach done.

The usage-rights example is on our UGC rates page: three months of paid social use took a $250 video to $437.50. The fraud figure is the World Federation of Advertisers survey of 1,400 senior marketers, summarized in our sourcing report. For a small business, those two lines decide more than the platform does: buy rights up front, and check views before you pay.

Questions

Small business influencer marketing, answered.

Questions small business owners search before picking a platform. Prices from each vendor's pricing page, checked October 2026.

What is the best influencer marketing platform for small business?

For most small businesses it is a free one. Collabstr lets you search creators and pay through escrow with no subscription and a 10% fee per hire. Shopify stores should add Shopify Collabs, which is free to install. Paid tools such as Heepsy at $69 a month or Modash at $199 make sense once you work with more than about ten creators a month.

Can a small business use influencer marketing?

Yes, and the budget floor is lower than most people expect. A short-form video from a micro creator commonly costs $150 to $300, and several platforms charge nothing to search. The real constraint for a small team is time: every creator means messages, a brief, a review and a payment, so start with five creators rather than fifty.

How much does influencer marketing cost for a small business?

Plan for creator fees plus whatever the platform adds. Micro creators commonly charge $150 to $300 for a short video and more for a post to their own audience. Marketplaces add 5% to 20% on top of each payment, and software runs from $0 to about $500 a month for small-business plans. Five micro videos at $150 to $300 each comes to $750 to $1,500 before platform fees and usage rights.

Are there free influencer marketing platforms?

Yes. Instagram has a creator marketplace inside Meta's business tools, Shopify Collabs is free to install for Shopify stores, Collabstr and JoinBrands have free plans that charge a fee per hire, and Heepsy and GRIN both have free tiers. Free plans cap searches or add a fee to creator payments, so check which limit you will hit first.

How do small businesses find influencers?

Start with people who already know you: customers, followers and accounts that tag your products. Then search Instagram and TikTok by keyword in your niche and city, and move to a marketplace or search tool once you need a longer list. Shortlist on recent average views and comments that mention the content, not on follower count.

Is influencer marketing worth it for small businesses?

It is worth testing when your product shows well on camera and you can run the content as ads afterward. Small businesses get the most from creators when they buy usage rights with the video, because one good clip can then run for months in paid social. Measure each creator on cost per thousand views and on sales from their code, and drop the ones that do not deliver.
