Most lists swap one AI actor tool for another. The bigger choice is whether this ad needs an AI actor at all. Here are six alternatives priced from their own pages, a straight Arcads vs Creatify comparison, and where real creators fit.
Last updated October 2026
The best Arcads alternatives in 2026 are Creatify for cheap AI actor ads, HeyGen for avatars and translation, MakeUGC for product-in-hand clips, Captions for mobile editing, Billo for real-creator UGC, and QuickAds for AI video ads from $199 a month plus real creators through Remy at $129 a video. Pick AI actors for testing, real creators for trust.
Prices checked 24 October 2026 on each vendor's pricing page and the Arcads help center. Arcads prices are reported, because Arcads shows them only in the app.
Arcads makes ads with AI actors: generated people reading your script. Before comparing tools, decide which kind of ad you need.
| Question | AI actors (Arcads and the tools below) | Real creators (Billo, Remy) |
|---|---|---|
| Cost per ad | About $1 to $11 in credits | $99 to $212 for most UGC; more for creators who post |
| Speed | Minutes | Days: Remy is 5 to 7 from brief, Billo depends on shipping |
| Variations | Dozens of hooks from one script | A few per shoot, priced per extra |
| Product in hand | Simulated, and it can show | Real product, real use |
| Audience | None | Creators who post bring their followers |
| Disclosure | AI likeness rules now apply in some states | Standard FTC endorsement rules |
The pattern that works for most performance teams is both. Use AI actors to test twenty hooks cheaply, find the two that hold attention, then brief real creators on the winners. An AI actor saying a winning line is useful data. A real customer saying it is usually the ad you scale.
Our UGC creator sourcing report covers the legal side in more depth: New York's synthetic performer law, the FTC's May 2026 guidance and the EU AI Act's rules from 2 August 2026.
Arcads is an AI video ad tool built around talking AI actors, with access to video models such as Veo 3.1, Kling and Seedance in the same credit balance.
| Plan | Credits a month | At the limit | Unused credits | Reported list price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 8,000 | Generation stops | Reset | $110/mo |
| Creator | 16,000 | Generation stops | Reset | $220/mo |
| Pro | 48,000 | Overage billed | Roll over | $550/mo |
| Scale | 96,000 | Overage billed | Roll over | In app |
| Business | 192,000 | Overage billed | Roll over | In app |
Credits and rules from the Arcads help center, read 24 October 2026. Arcads says current prices are on the pricing page inside the app and yearly billing is 20 percent off. The list prices in the last column are reported by Wireflow and Creatify, which both sell competing products, and Arcads has run promotional discounts on them. Treat them as a guide.
An Arcads 1.0 talking-actor video uses 800 credits. Arcads' credit article counts talking actors per started minute and per actor, so a 15-second ad costs the same as a 60-second one. A custom actor costs 1,600 credits once. Every plan includes all models up to 4K, Mark the AI agent and the Arcads MCP; Pro and above add the API, team seats, custom actors and ElevenLabs voices.
The actors are among the most natural in the category, and putting talking actors, video models and editing tools on one credit balance is convenient for a team producing a lot of variations. If you already know what to say and need volume, it does the job.
We judged each one on four things: what a finished short ad costs, how natural the output looks for paid social, how much of the work it takes off you, and whether it can give you real creators when AI is not enough. We list ourselves first because we are the only option here covering both AI and real creators; on AI actor price alone, Creatify beats us.
Best for: teams that want AI video ads and real creators from one supplier, with the strategy decided first
Best for: the cheapest way to make AI actor ads at volume
Best for: presenter-style avatar videos and translation into many languages
Best for: product-in-hand UGC-style clips on a small budget
Best for: creators and small teams editing on a phone
Best for: switching to real creators without a subscription
The two names people compare most. Both make AI actor ads; they differ on price, credits and extras.
| Arcads | Creatify | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | Reported $110/mo for 8,000 credits; prices shown in app | $15/mo Standard, $55/mo Pro (yearly: $10, $38) |
| Free option | 72-hour trial, 1,000 credits, card required | Free plan, 10 credits a month, watermarked |
| Talking-actor cost | 800 credits per video, counted per started minute | About 5 credits for a 15-second Aurora avatar video |
| Unused credits | Reset on Starter and Creator; roll over on Pro and up | Valid for two months |
| Extras | Mark AI agent, MCP, all models up to 4K; API and custom actors on Pro | Ad agent, competitor tracker, Ad Clone, ad launcher on Pro |
| Managed option | Direct Slack and calls on Pro and up | Studio: 25 to 100+ videos a month, price on request |

Choose Creatify if price per video matters most and you want competitor ad tracking in the same tool. Choose Arcads if you want its actor quality and a single balance across many video models, and you produce enough to use the Pro rollover.
We have compared ourselves to each in depth: QuickAds vs Arcads works through the same video priced on both, and QuickAds vs Creatify covers where a render engine stops and strategy starts.
Here is one short ad priced across both routes. The gap is large, and it is why AI actors win the testing stage.
| Option | One short ad | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Arcads talking actor | About $11 | 800 credits at the reported $110 for 8,000 |
| Creatify 15-second avatar | About $0.98 | 5 of Pro's 280 credits at $55 a month |
| QuickAds, Seedance 2.0 clip | $0.95 | 15 seconds at 720p, priced on our Arcads comparison |
| Billo real creator | From $99 | Billo's published floor |
| QuickAds with Remy, UGC | $129 | Creator fee included, footage yours |
| Market average UGC video | $150 to $212 | Our UGC rates research |
AI figures are credit costs inside a monthly plan, so the plan price comes first. Real-creator figures are per video, with nothing else to buy. Market rates come from our UGC rates guide.
A hundred-to-one cost gap does not mean a hundred-to-one value gap. AI clips are cheap enough to throw away, which is exactly how to use them: generate many, keep the few that hold attention, and spend real-creator money only on proven lines.
| If you need | Choose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| AI video ads plus real creators, with strategy | QuickAds | From $199/mo; Remy books creators at $129, $299 or $699 |
| The cheapest AI actor ads | Creatify | Pro at $55/mo with 1,500 actors and a free plan |
| Avatars and translation | HeyGen | 175+ languages, from $29/mo |
| Product-in-hand clips on a small budget | MakeUGC | From $29/mo yearly, $1 trial |
| Editing on a phone | Captions | $24.99/mo with AI actors and editing |
| Real creators, no subscription | Billo | From $99 a video |
If you produce enough to use Pro's credit rollover, like its actors, and already have a clear script process, the switching cost may outweigh the savings. Ask Arcads for its current in-app price first; promotions have moved it.

No AI actor tool is fully free for commercial ads, but several let you test without paying much. Creatify gives 10 free credits a month with a watermark, HeyGen offers three watermarked videos a month up to one minute, and MakeUGC and QuickAds each offer a $1 trial. QuickAds also makes your first video ad free.
Arcads shows its prices only inside the app. Its help center lists plans by monthly credits: Starter 8,000, Creator 16,000, Pro 48,000, Scale 96,000 and Business 192,000. Starter is widely reported at $110 a month at list price, and a talking-actor video uses 800 credits, about $11 of a Starter allowance.
Only for 72 hours. New Arcads accounts get a trial with 1,000 credits and every feature available, but a card is required, and the Starter monthly plan begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel. Cancelling during the trial ends access straight away.
A short AI-generated ad usually costs between about $1 and $11 in credits, depending on the tool, the model and the length, plus the monthly plan. A UGC video from a real creator costs $99 to $212 in most cases. The bigger cost is choosing what the ad should say, which no credit price covers.
Neither is better across the board. AI actors are faster and far cheaper per variation, which suits hook and script testing. Real creators show the product in a real hand, carry their own audience when they post, and avoid the disclosure questions that AI likenesses now raise. Most brands use AI to test and real creators to scale.
Increasingly, yes. New York's synthetic performer law has required disclosure of AI-generated human likenesses in ads since 9 June 2026, and the FTC updated its guidance on AI endorsements in May 2026. Meta, TikTok and YouTube also label AI content. Put disclosure in the brief, not after a complaint.
