Arcads alternatives: AI actors, or real creators?

Most lists swap one AI actor tool for another. The bigger choice is whether this ad needs an AI actor at all. Here are six alternatives priced from their own pages, a straight Arcads vs Creatify comparison, and where real creators fit.

Last updated October 2026

In short

The best Arcads alternatives in 2026 are Creatify for cheap AI actor ads, HeyGen for avatars and translation, MakeUGC for product-in-hand clips, Captions for mobile editing, Billo for real-creator UGC, and QuickAds for AI video ads from $199 a month plus real creators through Remy at $129 a video. Pick AI actors for testing, real creators for trust.

Key takeaways
  • Arcads plans are sold in credits. A talking-actor video uses 800 credits, about $11 at the reported $110 Starter price.
  • Creatify Pro is $55 a month, or $38 billed yearly, with 1,500 AI actors and a free plan to test on.
  • Real-creator UGC costs $99 to $212 a video in most cases, against about $1 to $11 for an AI actor clip.
  • New York has required disclosure of AI-generated people in ads since 9 June 2026.
  • The tools make the video. None of them decide what the ad should say, which is where most of the result comes from.

Prices checked 24 October 2026 on each vendor's pricing page and the Arcads help center. Arcads prices are reported, because Arcads shows them only in the app.

The real choice

AI actors or real creators.

Arcads makes ads with AI actors: generated people reading your script. Before comparing tools, decide which kind of ad you need.

When to use AI actors and when to use real creators for UGC ads.

The pattern that works for most performance teams is both. Use AI actors to test twenty hooks cheaply, find the two that hold attention, then brief real creators on the winners. An AI actor saying a winning line is useful data. A real customer saying it is usually the ad you scale.

Our UGC creator sourcing report covers the legal side in more depth: New York's synthetic performer law, the FTC's May 2026 guidance and the EU AI Act's rules from 2 August 2026.

What Arcads costs and does well.

Arcads is an AI video ad tool built around talking AI actors, with access to video models such as Veo 3.1, Kling and Seedance in the same credit balance.

Credits and rules from the Arcads help center, read 24 October 2026. Arcads says current prices are on the pricing page inside the app and yearly billing is 20 percent off. The list prices in the last column are reported by Wireflow and Creatify, which both sell competing products, and Arcads has run promotional discounts on them. Treat them as a guide.

An Arcads 1.0 talking-actor video uses 800 credits. Arcads' credit article counts talking actors per started minute and per actor, so a 15-second ad costs the same as a 60-second one. A custom actor costs 1,600 credits once. Every plan includes all models up to 4K, Mark the AI agent and the Arcads MCP; Pro and above add the API, team seats, custom actors and ElevenLabs voices.

Where Arcads genuinely wins

The actors are among the most natural in the category, and putting talking actors, video models and editing tools on one credit balance is convenient for a team producing a lot of variations. If you already know what to say and need volume, it does the job.

The list

Six Arcads alternatives, with the catch in each.

We judged each one on four things: what a finished short ad costs, how natural the output looks for paid social, how much of the work it takes off you, and whether it can give you real creators when AI is not enough. We list ourselves first because we are the only option here covering both AI and real creators; on AI actor price alone, Creatify beats us.

01 · Ours

QuickAds

Best for: teams that want AI video ads and real creators from one supplier, with the strategy decided first

What it is
An ad creation platform with AI image and video ad creation, a free ad library, AI agents and publishing, plus Remy, our influencer agent for real creators.
Standout
Both halves in one place. AI video ads for testing, then real creators booked at one published price per video: $129 for UGC you own the footage of, $299 for a Gold creator (5K to 50K followers) who posts to their audience, $699 for a Mega creator (50K to 250K). Scripts are built from models trained on 32M+ ads.
Honest limitation
If all you want is the largest library of AI actors at the lowest monthly price, a dedicated avatar tool such as Creatify is cheaper to start. We are built for teams that also need the strategy and the real-creator side.
Pricing
Discover ad library free. Software from $199/mo for AI image and video ad creation; $299/mo adds AI agents, publishing and Remy. Managed from $5,000/mo or 5% of ad spend, whichever is higher. $1 trial, first video ad free. QuickAds pricing.
02

Creatify

Best for: the cheapest way to make AI actor ads at volume

What it is
An AI video ad tool that turns a product URL or script into avatar ads, with 300 to 1,500 AI actors, 75+ languages and access to models such as Seedance and Veo.
Standout
Price. Pro includes 1,500 actors, 3 custom avatars, an ad agent, a competitor ad tracker covering 10M+ Meta ads and Ad Clone. There is a free plan with 10 credits a month.
Honest limitation
Credits expire after two months, and the cheapest plan runs one generation at a time. It makes the video; deciding the angle is still your job unless you buy its managed Studio service, which does not publish a price.
Pricing
Standard $15/mo ($10 yearly); Pro $55/mo ($38 yearly); Max $95/mo ($66 yearly). Creatify pricing.
03

HeyGen

Best for: presenter-style avatar videos and translation into many languages

What it is
An AI video platform built around avatars, including a custom avatar of yourself, with video translation in 175+ languages and dialects.
Standout
Translation and long-form. Creator videos run up to 30 minutes, Pro adds 4K export and Seedance 2.5, and Business adds team workspaces and SSO.
Honest limitation
HeyGen is a general video tool, so it lacks the ad-specific templates and competitor tracking that UGC-focused tools include. The look is closer to a presenter than to a phone-shot testimonial.
Pricing
Free (3 watermarked videos a month); Creator $29/mo ($24 yearly); Pro $49/mo; Business $149/mo plus $20 per seat. HeyGen pricing.
04

MakeUGC

Best for: product-in-hand UGC-style clips on a small budget

What it is
An AI UGC tool with 300 to 1,000+ AI actors, product-in-hand shots, motion control and batch mode, with API and MCP access on every plan.
Standout
Low entry price and a $1 trial on any plan, with batch variations from one brief.
Honest limitation
The cheapest plan exports at 480p and 720p only, credits do not roll over, and the headline prices assume yearly billing.
Pricing
Starter $29/mo, Growth $39/mo, Pro $79/mo, all billed yearly. MakeUGC pricing.
05

Captions

Best for: creators and small teams editing on a phone

What it is
A mobile-first video editor with AI actors, digital twins, AI editing styles and captions in 100+ languages.
Standout
Editing your own footage and AI footage in one app, with credits that roll over for up to two extra months.
Honest limitation
It is an editor first. There is no competitor research or ad strategy layer, and the published prices are for iOS plans.
Pricing
Max $24.99/mo with 500 credits; Frontier with 1,400 credits. Captions pricing.
06

Billo

Best for: switching to real creators without a subscription

What it is
A UGC video marketplace with 5,000+ vetted human creators, paid from a prepaid balance.
Standout
Real people with the creator fee inside the price, two revisions within the brief and full usage rights after approval.
Honest limitation
You write the brief, ship the product and wait on filming. You buy a pack up front rather than one video.
Pricing
From $99 per video; CreativeOps from $149/mo; managed service from $2,000/mo. Billo, October 2026.

Sources: Arcads help center and Creatify pricing, both checked 24 October 2026. The 5-credit figure is our division of Creatify's published 56 Aurora videos on Pro's 280 credits.

Choose Creatify if price per video matters most and you want competitor ad tracking in the same tool. Choose Arcads if you want its actor quality and a single balance across many video models, and you produce enough to use the Pro rollover.

We have compared ourselves to each in depth: QuickAds vs Arcads works through the same video priced on both, and QuickAds vs Creatify covers where a render engine stops and strategy starts.

Cost per ad

Cents for AI, dollars for people.

Here is one short ad priced across both routes. The gap is large, and it is why AI actors win the testing stage.

What one short ad costs across AI actor tools and real-creator options.
OptionOne short adBasis
Arcads talking actorAbout $11800 credits at the reported $110 for 8,000
Creatify 15-second avatarAbout $0.985 of Pro's 280 credits at $55 a month
QuickAds, Seedance 2.0 clip$0.9515 seconds at 720p, priced on our Arcads comparison
Billo real creatorFrom $99Billo's published floor
QuickAds with Remy, UGC$129Creator fee included, footage yours
Market average UGC video$150 to $212Our UGC rates research

AI figures are credit costs inside a monthly plan, so the plan price comes first. Real-creator figures are per video, with nothing else to buy. Market rates come from our UGC rates guide.

A hundred-to-one cost gap does not mean a hundred-to-one value gap. AI clips are cheap enough to throw away, which is exactly how to use them: generate many, keep the few that hold attention, and spend real-creator money only on proven lines.

How to choose

Four questions before you switch.

  1. Are you testing or scaling? Testing hooks and scripts favors AI actors. Scaling a proven message favors real creators.
  2. Does the product need to be in a real hand? Skincare texture, fit on a body and food all read better with real people.
  3. Do you need the creator's audience? If yes, you need a real creator who posts, such as Remy's Gold and Mega tiers. No AI tool can give you followers.
  4. Who decides what the ad says? Every tool here renders a script. If nobody on your team owns the angle, a cheaper renderer will not fix the results.

When to stay on Arcads

If you produce enough to use Pro's credit rollover, like its actors, and already have a clear script process, the switching cost may outweigh the savings. Ask Arcads for its current in-app price first; promotions have moved it.

Questions

Arcads alternatives, answered.

Arcads plan details from the Arcads help center; competitor prices from each vendor's pricing page, checked 24 October 2026. Reported figures are labelled.

What is the best free alternative to Arcads AI?

No AI actor tool is fully free for commercial ads, but several let you test without paying much. Creatify gives 10 free credits a month with a watermark, HeyGen offers three watermarked videos a month up to one minute, and MakeUGC and QuickAds each offer a $1 trial. QuickAds also makes your first video ad free.

How much does Arcads cost?

Arcads shows its prices only inside the app. Its help center lists plans by monthly credits: Starter 8,000, Creator 16,000, Pro 48,000, Scale 96,000 and Business 192,000. Starter is widely reported at $110 a month at list price, and a talking-actor video uses 800 credits, about $11 of a Starter allowance.

Can I use Arcads AI for free?

Only for 72 hours. New Arcads accounts get a trial with 1,000 credits and every feature available, but a card is required, and the Starter monthly plan begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel. Cancelling during the trial ends access straight away.

How much do AI ads cost?

A short AI-generated ad usually costs between about $1 and $11 in credits, depending on the tool, the model and the length, plus the monthly plan. A UGC video from a real creator costs $99 to $212 in most cases. The bigger cost is choosing what the ad should say, which no credit price covers.

Is AI UGC better than real creator UGC?

Neither is better across the board. AI actors are faster and far cheaper per variation, which suits hook and script testing. Real creators show the product in a real hand, carry their own audience when they post, and avoid the disclosure questions that AI likenesses now raise. Most brands use AI to test and real creators to scale.

Do AI actor ads need to be disclosed?

Increasingly, yes. New York's synthetic performer law has required disclosure of AI-generated human likenesses in ads since 9 June 2026, and the FTC updated its guidance on AI endorsements in May 2026. Meta, TikTok and YouTube also label AI content. Put disclosure in the brief, not after a complaint.
